I'm not familiar with Pathfinder, but I'd be willing to give this a shot if you'd accept me. I'll obtain a rulebook and start checking it out.

Follow the link in the OP, good thing about pathfinder is that it's practically free. :)

...So you intend to make TWO different pathfinder sessions in a row ?

I will not enter, because I don't intend on raping my weekend.

It was asked, but I was away.  For reference, in Pathfinder, crafting magical items does NOT consume exp, it ONLY consumes gold and time.

You are a strange man.  "It makes it overpowered, or at the least useless."  Those are kinda mutually exclusive.

I think greatorder's referring to non-magical crafting, but then again, I'm not familiar with the rules.

Anyway, I'm looking throught the rules and browsing the classes and their archetypes now. What are you guys thinking of playing as?

I'm thinking of playing as an oracle just because I like the flavour of the curses and mysteries they can choose from

Either a bard or gunslinger. Although, the character generator provided doesn't seem to have the gunslinger class. So I'll probably roll up a bard.

Enter a custom class.

OP has been updated, we've got 6 waiting players, but since we don't know for sure if everyone can and will stay, I am still accepting character sheets and applications.

I'm leaning towards a Fighter, Buckler Duelist archetype, to portray your typical "Sword & Buckler Man". Dutch or Spanish, seeming as they were the only ones using these in the general timeframe. I'd like to request a change from the Falcata to Long Sword, if that would be possible, since that would be more fitting to the time. Mechanically speaking, the only difference is that Long Sword has a Critical Multiplier of x2 while a Falcata has x3, so it would be a choice of flavour over "optimization".

I see no harm in that, permission granted.

Okay, I'm positive now. I'm going to be playing the Russian Gunslinger Dimitri Dolgorukov. A young man of noble descent, deciding to adventure to the new world for unknown reasons.

Well, 17th century russia was the age of Cossacks, and the time the campaign will be taking in place will be 1658 exactly, meaning that Russia would be at war with Poland.
So take that into consideration.

Are the magic rules the same for divine spellcasters and does this mean that if I am a spellcaster that the spells that I can choose on level up are locked until I find someone to teach me them?
