Author Topic: Spyro: Original Series Mod (Initial Release - has minor bugs I can't figure out)  (Read 4712 times)

This mod has the goal of changing the world of Dwarf Fortress into that of the orignal spyro series.  This is going to be taking awhile, but eventually, the link below will contain a raw folder rather than having you add files to the raws you have, due to having non-series stuff being eventually removed, with a multitude added.

This mod is not going to be compatable with adventure mode, due to there not being a [CAN_OPEN_DOORS] tag added to the dragons in order to offset the [NATURAL_SKILL:] tags that are upon the dragon castes.

The progression meter below displays which 'arc' the mod is on. Features are going to be added at the rate that those features appeared in the game.

Beast makers could pretty easily have ANIMAL_TRAINING as a natural skill.

Dream weavers could have better mental stats in certain areas, as well as different personality traits.

Magic Crafters could be better at alchemy, which... you'd have to come up with some things for :V

woudl the purple dragon be a rare or rare-ish caste that is either powerful or a requirement for certain noble positions? and have multiple breath attacks?

That would be the legends series.  Glancing through the various images of the dragon types in the original series, purple isn't really that rare of a coloration, and I'm going to burn the bridge that would represent multiple breath attacks when I get to the 'Enter the Dragonfly' arc.

Initial Release

>Various Dragon Species - need to have a few bugs worked out, but I am not sure what is going wrong.  They are still able to be played just fine.

The first five are probably due to the last two and you can't have attributes of more than 5000 in a creature defintion.

I don't have access to the raws, so the color Mod ending is one I can't help with,
GNORC you have the attibute over 5000 (you can only have 5000 unless you have an syndrome that boosts it, then it goes over max)
horns you just either assigned the BDP too early or the dragon has no horn material

The first five were there before the last two cropped up, and what is odd about the 5000 is that there is nothing in the attribute over 5000.  (I hate zeros that are hiding.)

horns you just either assigned the BDP too early or the dragon has no horn material

I assigned the specific part at the end of the creature's file.  The horn material should be accessable.
