Give up? No way. It's Huskification time. So what if you have 20% critical failure when nothing can kill you?

I found a human city named Sleevevirgins. It was easily the biggest city in the world, so clearly I wasn't the first person to come inside the city's walls.

Yeah, prepare to die.
Though now that I think of it, there really should be a thing where if you eat the heart of the mummy or something after you've killed it, the curse is broken. Just IMO.

That's true. It helps that mummies are destroyed if they leave their pyramids.

You know I'd do it if I could.

what

I... did not know that.

TIME FOR SCIENCE. I've got me a mummy that must die. Though really, mummies don't explicitly need their curse to be permanent and unbreakable, because realistically, they usually spawn in rooms with 30+ skeletons that they can reraise en masse as a free action. So... yeah.

The curse is op as fuck to put it bluntly, I never liked it in the game because once your hit by it you cant do anything and it doesnt wear off. A dog can bite your torso off with it and a cat can hit you hard enough that you fly. There should be something you could do to get rid off it.

Just saying, my mod completely changes mummies. You'll still get clobbered, but not with unremoveable curses.

Does turning into a werecreature help?

Nope. Transformation heals body parts, but does nothing for syndromes. (Otherwise, you'd be stuck as a werecreature with no way to transform back)

what

I... did not know that.

In actuality they are not destroyed, but they don't stay in the tomb complex either. They will instead turn up in a lair or something elsewhere in the world.
