There's of course the question of acceptability in various parts of the world. English isn't really internationally standardized, an American would never usually use sod colloquially or spell doughnut out the "proper" way. An British person might think fantasy as abomination, and wouldn't consider it unusual to refer to somebody that you don't mate with as "mate" along with Australians.

So no one knows if noone's acceptable in the broadest sense. I think it's stupid, but obviously can't speak for anybody but myself.
