Organ based injuries

Do organ based injuries (ie heart blasted, liver damaged, etc) have any permanent effect on stats or will everything be back to normal once you get healed?

No permanent effect, but they're severe enough that you can die even after getting back to the safehouse, if there is no available Liberal with high First Aid.

I had a literally bleeding-heart liberal.  He'll be at least two months in the University Hospital, and our Liberal medics had First Aid around 10 IIRC.

But outside Hollywood, he'd have died on-site.  Liberal Movie Physiology FTW.

10 First Aid might not be enough. Generally, in LCS 10 is the realistic best of the best, while above 10 is superhuman and above 20 is just plain impossible.

It also depends on the Liberal's natural Health, though. I've seen particularly hardy ones survive triple traumatic amputation by tank shell.

Damage to heart or lungs can result in one point reduction of health permanently. It's less likely to happen the better treatment they get.

Sweet I've gotten several maxed out first aid skill liberals (16,18 & 19!) by having them work on the organ damage cases.
