Okay, what the hell. My local copy works fine without changing any of this, but I downloaded the .zip, and it's broken as fuck.

EDIT: I figured out why. I hadn't turned off dreammaker in a couple days, so it still worked, and a couple files somehow got deleted. Anyways, it should work now. Want to give it a try Miauw?

EDIT2: It works now. Luckily, I had a backup of my repo from a few days ago saved on an external hardrive, so I just copied the missing files. Still have no idea how that got committed...

I'm just going to buuuummpp this up with something that worries me slightly:
There's kind of a lack of a construction area. The observatory probably won't be used much, so we could use that space for a construction area and a space-exposed platform (think arrivals expansion area in Metastation)
If you're alright with that. I'll also post a few pictures of old chemistry vs new chemistry, to see which one people like best.

There is a construction area, but it's worryingly small. I was thinking of just cutting the observatory off altogether, but placing the construction site there might be cool....

EDIT: Maybe post this to the main thread as well? It'll get seen more there.

I like the observatory. Put the Construction Area somewhere else.

Just did that. It actually makes it a lot more spacious too.

I'd just like to say that I'm glad we're going with the third, square chem layout proposed in the main thread. Neither of the two versions of it here were very good, both because they felt cramped and because a large part of the workspace was out of sight of the medbay lobby. A big chunk of playing chemist is being right there next to the lobby while you're working, both so you can respond quickly to people who run up needing something, so that you can chat with people waiting in it while you work, and more generally to allow you to keep a better eye on the goings-on outside of medical.

^ This, so much.

A really minor suggestion: if it's not already there or I somewhat missed it looking at the images; a crowbar in the inner medbay lobby, to open firedoors in case of an emergency.

Regarding genetics: why the design choice to make the cloning room harder to break into than the genetic research room?

Also, about the monkey pen: personally I'd prefer it more like the current one (monkey cube plus three monkeys), given that the emote spam gets quite annoying after a while, but I take it that more live monkeys would be better for xenos.

Genetics was rwalled on boxstation, so I rwalled it here. The grilles aren't electrified, so you could easily break into cloning if it's needed. Or I could give cloning tinted windows. That's actually a good idea. Keep the suggestions coming.
And the big monkey pen was because I could. The new chem layout IS better, tough.
Also, chem is going to have privacy shutters, although I don't expect them to be down all that often.

They're still nice to have, though. Corai is right, people will try to break in if it's just plain windows, especially if a busier server someday runs this map.

I still think surgery needs to boarder robotics so they can share.

Not gonna happen. There's no point in sharing anyway.

How about this? With items, obviously.
