Attempt to make the walls around me invisible so I can see what is beyond them, if I see anything interesting head towards it. If not then walk in a random pattern.

Look out for an armoury or chest of some kind.

Locate a birdcage. Put the specimen in it.

Walk back to ship, retrieve axe. Go up to the elfy naturalist guy with the birds.

"Ah, hello! I just found a rather fascinating creature when I was looking over the woods with the spyglass. A sizable moss-eating thing with more eyes than it has any right to possess. If we hurry, we may catch it and observe it. Perhaps eat it as well. Depends on several factors."

Afterwards, move to the small and insignificant mossy clearing with the hellspawn. Observe it from a distance.

Continue to the cube. Keep eyes open for anything of interest. Don't meta by instantly knowing about loot that other people have found.

Object to being called Helga. Lay claim to all the loot for now, bring it to the ship and inspect it. Particularily the tomes should be interesting. Others are welcome to help with the inspecting/identifying.
