Haven't heard of these before
« on: August 22, 2006, 08:31:00 pm »

I was pretty surprised when my miners were attacked by antmen today, as I hadn't heard anything about them.  My soldiers made short work of them.  When my first sworddwarf caught up with the lead antman, he hacked it so hard its abdomen went flying back down the hall about six spaces.

I really think that there needs to be limitations on how far blood/ichor can be tracked...  maybe it should only spread from pools or from relatively fresh blood.  Right now one dead rat in your main entrance hall can eventually stain the entire fortress with its blood...  that's just wierd.  A dead rat really shouldn't  be able to stain more than one or two spaces, total.

It does point to a disturbing lack of clotting, which is perhaps why my dwarves constantly bleed to death.  Perhaps if you live in the caves, your blood is like turpentine.

It would also help if dwarves would actually bother cleaning it. If you set a dwarf to cleaning and nothing else, they might clean up a few bloodstains but then they'll just stand there idle and ignore the rest of the blood.

What, you're claiming YOU don't "water" down the barrels of wine to make them last longer?
