Not a problem, just a funny typo (probably), unless as he said, there's a woodland hike involved in reaching the tower.

Quick question: Wouldn't stopping time also stop the air, thereby stopping the caster from moving?

Srive that yak downstairs.
Summon a golden hatch on the entrance to the Great Golden Gurdwara. Lock it. With a golden lock built into the hatch.
