Before I start playing: Is it nesessary to use nanofortress or I can just choose a small emabark? One more thing - what do I do with the finished building? Abandon it?

Yes, you do need to use nanofortress because the district will be a 1x1 embark.  Once you're finished, you can abandon it, or use Dfhack to "retire" it instead.  I notice I haven't put that process here, so I'll be adding I've added that to the front page.  Look for it under "The City".

Ok, here's some information about my project. I would be called "Terrarium." It features a large green glass box standing on a stone pedestal with some cages and terrariums inside it. I emabarked to the southeast of Whitecastle. The embark site is called "Crystalstone".

Sounds fun.  What's the theme?  "Menagerie" or possibly "Arcology"?

I guess, both will suit. Should I write some entries about the construction works?

If you like.  I'm sure we'd enjoy hearing about your group's various trials and successes in this endeavour.  Block by agonizing block, The Forbidden City grows larger and more diverse.  As the years roll by, its stories also grow larger and more diverse.  Eventually, we may even have built a city the size of some of those human cities.  Now wouldn't that be something?

I'm sorry, but it's still not finished. I can upload tha save if you wish, though.

Actually, I wasn't really familiar with that raws you're using, so it ended up as a total mayhem. I'll upload the save.

Edit: Here's the save:

There's nobody on the list after you if you want to take another 1-week slot and work with this some more.

That's it, then, I'll update the first page soon enough with Monitor Lisard's contribution.  Right now I'm crafting an entry for "The Museum", then I need to finish Dwarfopoly's Visual Guide so that game can get started.  However, once those are finished, I'll be coming back to The Misty Isle and adding yet more to it.
