You are a tudy, a species of little translucent creatures. They are herbivorous, using mouthparts with little "blades" on the end to bite off chunks of food. On either side of their mouths is a pair of little dextrous tendrils, moved by filling or emptying small chambers separated by little valves and lined with nerves. They have an incomplete gut and move themselves by wiggling their short, thick bodies, and can "jet" by emptying their stomachs; however, they mostly drift in currents.

They are also intelligent and two-dimensional.



Your little band of six tudies has found what they think might be a good long-term home. There is a little forest of kilp to the left, with some little tems to the right and with the kilp forest. It's also close enough to the surface that there will be plenty of life, but at the bottom so that there is shelter from the current. On the subject of shelter, there is the most important characteristic of the area: A cave. Caves provide shelter from all sorts of predators, and the muck many have is the place where bown--a slow-growing plantlike stalk that only grows in cave muck and that is the best tool-handle material. It's a great spot for a home.

Name: Tudy names are composed of sounds a human can make without the tongue, due to their lack of a similar organ.

Distinctive Traits: What makes you look different from normal. (Be reasonable.)
Agility: A stat which determines how well you dodge.
Cleverness: A stat which determines how well your tiny brain works.
Dexterity: A stat which determines how well you can use your tendrils.
Endurance: A stat which determines how well you how well you can deal with extended periods of exertion.
Toughness: A stat which determines how many HP you have.
Strength: A stat which determines how much damage you deal.

You have 15 points to spend on Stats. Each must be at least 1 and cannot be above 5.

I would ask why fire can burn two men to death without getting hot enough to burn a book, but then I read "INEXTINGUISHABLE RUNNING KAMIKAZE RADIOACTIVE FLAMING ZOMBIE" and realized that logic, reason, and physics are all occupied with crying in the corner right now.

This...got a lot more attention that I expected.

Aiio, Iboa, and Xom are all great. Norb and Che'He will need to wait until they have names that they can pronounce, like Morb or Ke'He. Hopefully by the time they do that and one more person shows up, I'll have a more complete rules post.

This little band numbers six: Koh, the elder of the group; Ah, glad to help whomever he can; Iboa, always rushing ahead; Morb, the curious youngling; Aiio, a cautious counterpoint to these two; and Xom, the rival of Koh and most aggressive of the group.
The six have arranged themselves, preparing to make a new life. Whatever preparations they want to make today, they will need to make soon, for the day is closing and only an ahr remains before darkness. In the dark, tudies need rest for the day ahead, and to avoid the creatures that stalk in the darkness...
