Rogue Yun, I am using your tileset and I have noticed that some of the double-daggers you use as placeholders are used for cavern plants. Is this something I am doing wrong or are is something else up?

Thank you so much! You aren't doing anything wrong. I'll get to work on this right away. I also noticed that one of my double daggers is being used for the inside of some tree trunks.

The reason for it is because I haven't updated this tileset in a LOONG time. And I haven't been playing too much dwarf fortress to see where the differences are (namely with plants).

You are a brave man to use my tileset :D

I looked around on the wiki and dug into a few caverns.. I couldn't seem to pull up an example of this plant. Would you be willing to possibly...

a.) Upload the save file. Or...
b.) Use the following tileset and post a screen shot or tell me what number appears for the plant?

That would be awesome! But if not, I'll keep up the search.

It's possibly still incomplete, and any corrections are appreciated.
You could also search through the plant raws (automatically, with a text editor like notepad++ or vim) for the symbol or tile number you're looking for.

28 for: Dimple Cups, Sweet Pods and Plump Helmets
29 for: Fungiwood, Tower-caps, Tunnel-tube, Black-cap, Spore-tree and Goblin Cap

Also, tile 181 is used for another cave plant, Blood Thorn, and it seems a bit out of place.

Hrmm. Your version of DF appears to be different from mine...

I can quickly make you a custom tileset to fix the 28 and 29. But changing tile 181 would change how the edges of horizontal bridges would look. (It is just one of those things that the ol' dwarf fortress and I didn't agree on). I think it tended to pick 181 for withered trees as well. I believe these can be modified in the raws though if it becomes too much of an eyesore. I'll think about the problem... but I found it very difficult to make 181 look both like a tree, and the end of a bridge. It is also a sideways chair and a mine cart track end :D

To change what Blood thorn would look like for your version just execute your favorite text editor, open DF/raw/objects/plant_standard.txt and under BLOOD_THORN replace the 181 with a tile you think better suited. Your blood thorn may not look like the below example, but is should be the same premise.

Thanks for the shiny personal tileset. Yes my version of df is modded to some degree, but only the save folder has this change. IDK why. I probably should have checked that instead of the main raws.

I should probably start making my own tileset. I'll have to start working at some point I guess.

I set up a post on DFFD. One can now download this tile/graphic set from there. I still have little clue what I'm doing, but I'm feeling my way forward :D
