((I saw that edit :I I have no bonus.))

This is strange. Very strange. I browsed the book, and said one of the words in it..

How foolish. Why would just saying a word mean anything. I'm no mage.

But..I'm confused. Why are the others here if they aren't doing anything?

Examine the book. Try to search for any author while doing so, or any other words which would give identification or warning.

While proceeding to the southern room.

By this point Derek finally opens and looks at his book nervously.  Seeing the weird pictures and words written in it, he decides the best course of action would be to see if the book is a magical book.  After all, it's what a book would look like if it were magical, right?  As he is alone, he feels doing a small test would not be too bad.  If the book is not magical, he'll simply hit anybody threatening that comes near him with it~!

"Nodi?" he squeaks nervously, pointing a trembling finger at the spikes near the south end of the wall.

Derek always wanted to be able to do something cool for once.  Magic would do.

As he speaks the word, he doesn't notice that someone else has entered the room after him (yet).

Derp.  I actually forgot Xantalos's bonus, and edited the wrong roll.  Fixed on both counts.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

You don't have any channeling, so you can't use magic words at all.

I suppose hitting someone with a magic book might count as magic body language...

Go through the narrow passage to the other room in the south. Try the words "Tepsy Necti", then "Smastendip" aimed at the ground behind me.
