how to designate nobles?

You're supposed to be able to turn your starting dwarves into actually useful nobles. I'm excited about this and want a broker right now, dang it.

So...uh, how do you do this? I know I'm likely missing something obvious but I had to ask.

[n] to get to the noble screen.

[n] to go to the noble screen, [up]/[down] to go to the position, and either [enter] to fill a vacancy or [r] to replace a current noble.
