Punch down a tree to make a pick.

I love how this is so ridiculous to say but still works.

(3) You punch down the tree, but it takes you longer than you expect.
(5) You make the logs into ULTRA PLANKS. An ULTRA PLANKS block disassembles itself into four sticks.
(4) You make the crafting table and set it down next to you.
(5) You make an ULTRA WOODEN PICKAXE. However, you are so skilled that you make an ULTRA ULTRA WOODEN PICKAXE.

Exist and dig into the dirt to make a shelter only big enough to fit me in the ground.

(5) You manage to carve out a simple 3 x 3 home underground. You somehow carve the stone into a furnace, a crafting table, a chest, and a bed.

Plug this jerk's air hole with a pumpkin!

(6) You plug the air hole with a pumpkin. Unfortunately, the pumpkin sees him dying and takes pity on him, carving itself to let air flow through.

Find a forest and harvest 5 logs.
Craft a Workbench.
Use Workbench to craft an Axe.
Harvest enough logs to build a wood plank shelter.
Craft a door.
Build a wood plank shelter with a door.

(Ambitious?  Yes, but I can hope it works.)

(4) You find the forest and harvest the logs.
(2) You craft a workbench, but it looks pretty flimsy.
(4) You craft a Wooden Axe.
(6) You cut down a forest. The creeper environmentalists are going to be very busy.
(6) You craft a wooden door so sturdy not even you can open it.
(5) You make a grand palace of planks. Unfortunately, you can't use the front door.
