Urist MCHammer died from bloodloss, compund fractured both arms after tryign to swing a legendary artefact slag warhammer over his head while drinking booze and throwing goblings like handgrenades.

Urst has spontaneously combusted: Animosity towards elves reached too high of a level.

Urst has given up the will to live: Came to an epiphany that no matter what the poor dwarf does in this life, the dwarf will never be as badass as a giant sponge. 

Urst had found a problem excessive alcoholism cannot fix: Dwarf BSOD'd.

Urst is not having fun in the happy fun vampire run murder town you are running: Dwarf has opted out.

Urst has been assassinated: Bounty Hunter has hit his mark.

Urst has been assassinated: offed for an unintentional insult in the direction of the military commander.

Personally, I think they should be fairly general, so a dwarf doesn't die by falling down the stairs while asleep in his bed. Maybe I'm just boring, though. Also:

A fatal accident has occured! followed by...

Urist has discovered the nature of his existence!
Urist has ascended to divinity!
Urist suffers a coughing fit and collapses!
Urist has swallowed his gum!
