So no XP support, hm? :/

Nope. Sorry about that. I recently decided that I won't add support for Windows XP. That being said, if someone really really really really wants it, then I'll glady accept a (working) patch. It's a rather small piece of code to fix in the Dfterm3 plugin for Dfhack (see the linked issue for what is wrong). What is holding me back is that I am extremely lazy and I don't want to bother with having to test it on an actual Windows XP that I don't have quick and easy access to.

I think there is a bug with the -w options, if you don't use the -p option, as well.

I have to specify all the ports and then it works.  Otherwise, I get this error:

bind: failed (Permission denied (WSAEACCESS))

A second note:
Can I decide who can control the session?

At the moment you cannot decide who can control the session. In Dfterm3 0.4 that will come out after an unpredictable amount of time has passed you can.

As for the bug, can you give me the exact command line you used when it works and when it doesn't?

DFTerm3 server up and running (until it crashes):

http://68.80.234.80:8080

This has been great. The only thing I'm struggling with is the font size. I wish I could get it smaller so the browser wouldn't have to be so huge. Scrolling (zooming) in-game just makes the play area larger, not the font. I've tried the other default fonts and nothing has helped. Is this possible; what am I missing?

BTW: Embark is on a Volcano.

Your server works for me. I don't know why others didn't.

Browser zoom shortcuts (e.g. Cmd/Ctrl-Minus) usually work for me, although it depends on the browser you're using.

There was a typo in the siegers' campfire code. When the fires went out, so did the game.

This works pretty well! Thanks! I zoomed in a bit, so if the window is really massive, do this ^ and make the size smaller in the browser.

I looked for places where Dfterm3 could hard crash (as opposed to soft crashing by Haskell exceptions) and there are very few places it can do that. But I did find one place where this could happen.

There is some code in Dfterm3 that tries to guess (by the use of C code) how many columns a Unicode string will occupy. If that Unicode string is empty then we crash into a concrete wall. This can happen if somehow empty cells find their way to the Dwarf Fortress screen. I'm not sure how this can happen but it sounds like a plausible source of frequent crashes. I fixed this in the 0.3 code and will make a bug fix release 0.3.1 just for this later today.

Of course I could be wrong and that crash has nothing to do with this. If it crashes again, before you close the crash dialog, make a dumpfile (go to task manager, find the dfterm3 process, right-click -> dump).

0.3.1 released with a fix to the (presumed) crash bug and some UI changes (mostly lethosor's work). Check out the admin panel.

Sorry if anybody has already talked about this, but me and my friend are having severe trouble playing on a floor with a lot of sand.
I wonder if you could somehow make all of the ASCII the same size and not have some boxes be different sizes than others?

They're supposed to all be the same size. What browser/OS are you using?

Both me and my friend are using Google Chrome, and Windows 7 64 bit on 1080p monitors.
