I thought teleportation worked because of the whole time dilation thing in the void. That's why it's so quick, right?
Yeah, the issue is, there must be a limit to prevent someone from phasing out and popping back in having had a nice nap to recover mana as well as preventing people from teleporting massive distances with as much cost as they would have teleporting a centimeter.

What would the reason be lore-wise?
Also, the ratio of time spent in Void to time spent in Creation is approximately 1:521 (using Ashley's 10 years in Void = 1 week in Creation, ignoring leap years and rounded down). That is, a void walker can spend a bit over eight and a half minutes in Void and pop back into Creation 1 second after they popped out. Which means that the "blind idiot" way of detecting the invisible and illusions actually becomes viable. Not to mention that it makes voidwalking cost the same regardless of distance.

Questions~

How the hell does Selina draw something way more powerful than she is without dying? Just asking.
...Example? If your talking about Shys'm Caes body, or Angel's, those were just vessels for the minds and souls to be transferred to.

If your talking about the teleportation on the bracelets, I deeply regret ever making that a thing actually as it added to the chaos and wish I hadn't.


For summoning:
The duration in my mind could be the amount over the TN rolled Plus 2 for turns. That seems fair to me really. As for the stats of the summoning... well, I guess that'll be a topic of debate and balancing for a little bit.

For the time needed to complete the summoning, I think the higher on the magic table it is (Small, medium, Big, enourmous, etc) the amount of turns it would require to summon. 1 turn for small, 3 for medium, 5 for big/large, 7, 9, 11, etc.

How does one compare power anyway? It's easy for beings, but significantly harder for implements. If Selina cannot conjure a really large coach, does that mean that the coach is objectively more powerful than Selina?

I think teleportation should cost more for long distances, but also for teleporting with you more than just what you usualy have on you.


Negliable: the next room, just what you have on you


small: other town, or next room with passenger


medium: other nation, or other town with passenger, three passengers


big: other continent, other nation with passenger, other town with 3 passengers, 6 passengers

etc


Cado, check the rules I suggested for the stats, the duration may actually be a good idea. But I don't think they should take quite that long to summon.

small and medium summons are weak enough to be summoned instantly, really. big summons would need one extra turn, enormous 2, then 3, then 4 etc. Missing a turn is a huge drawback, especialy if what you summon may just act once or twice.

the stat totals don't have to be centered on a single summon either, for instance with a big summon, you summon 75 points of stats, that could be 3 25 summons, or heck putting the lower limit of stats on 1, could be 9 summons with 8 in stats, like some sort of bat-swarm

True.

Would any factors affect duration? Such as object size relative to picture size or amount of drawing detail?
Selina always needed time to make the details as it needed to look good to come out good. Size never mattered though as she was already breaking conservation of mass, and it was stated she could make it bigger or smaller.

well, tell me once you have brought Selinas charsheet to the current update of rules. Someone else please stat their char, and go ahead and have a test battle. that both helps find flaws in the system and in your abilities


also, does it have to be completely drawn by her? Could she just add a mustache to a photo of the mona lisa and summon a bearded mona, or would that only summon a disembodied beard?
