Doubling the grow time of all the crops in the game. Boring, but important. :P

Make cats freaking massive. Then spam the 'catsplosion' command in dfhack.

You seem to be under the impression that we're playing some game other than dwarf fortress. It doesn't matter how powerful you make a creature, we will find a way to destroy it. God is dead, and Urist killed him.

Hm. Actually, that's a good idea. Thanks for that.

I make dragons fly and playable.

Do you add wings, or do they just fart their way through the skies?

I gave mountain and dark gnomes an upgrade so they're between kobold and dwarf in size, live in their own cave-dwelling entities and in the case of dark gnomes, kidnap children and besiege your fortresses. With knives and blowguns.
Gave them wings, and also variable colors.

Removed the nerves and tendons from every thing.
Removed infections from adventurers.
Lower bolt and arrow speed.
Add two part brains to remove the over powered headshots.

Dragons have no wings by default? Is that on purpose?

I make my dwarves faster and in previous editions shoot fireballs because I am sick of chasing around ravens and the like. I also usually make it so they can't trample the grass.

Apparently. It's not hard to fix them though.

Make dragons fly, give them wings, make them able to breed.
Make GCS and GDS able to breed.
Remove [GRAZER].
Remove animal people or give them [PET]. Give [PET] to most non-civilized humanoids in addition to kobolds.
Make trolls pack animals, and goblins able to use them.
And the standard bug-fixing thingies (appointing diplomats for the elves, etc.)

I always seem to end up with a magnificent burial complex and nowhere near enough bodies to fill it, or far too many bodies and nowhere to put any of them.

Just the females for the milking thing, right? Then what do you do with the males*, butcher them?

*Assuming not all elves are girls or girly enough to be considered girls.

I'm not really sure that maiming someone and forcing them to live with a crippling disability for your amusement can really be considered "merciful." Just sayin'.
Dwarven mercy.

(The idea of a fart propelled dragon amuses me though, give them a gas bladder in their lower body that they need to fly.  Bonus points if instead of breathing fire they use that to produce a cloud of nausea inducing gas "breath")

See Errol, of Discworld fame.

Come to think of it, modding in swamp dragons would be hilarious. Small dragon-like creatures whose internal chemistry (which enables their fire breathing) is so volatile that when they get indigestion or are disturbed in some way they violently explode. Think of all the fun that could be had!
