Language learning is not hard. In fact, it is so easy that a baby can do it.

It does take time and exposure, though. It's not difficult but neither is it quick, at least to learn it well.

Yeah, the real reason people don't learn languages isn't that they're hard. It's that they take hundreds of hours, there are no shortcuts, and for a very long time in the middle of that it is easy to feel like you're making no progress. People will do hard things as a challenge, but persuading them to embrace tedium is a much harder sell.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.
