More seriously responding, a decent number of the mods there can be found by searching the workshop for names - e.g. UAC, nyaron, Mincho. Kensei is a mod-mod if I recall - a mod adding a class to Rimworld of Magic.

A few of the perhaps less easily-searched mods:

- Lockjaw is from Alpha Animals (I highly recommend it)
- Space battle is from Vanilla Events Expanded (also highly recommend; mod options let you tinker with or disable events you don't like in the package)
- Beets are probably in several mods, but I'm guessing Vegetable Garden?

Kugelblitz I have no idea about, though - there are several germanic weaponry mods out there, and I haven't really tried any of them.

For all the Dune references, I'm disappointed extreme deserts don't have giant worms and the spice melange.

Don't know about that one. I don't use the Kijin mods, though if assassin events are part of it that does make me more interested.

Haven't seen it myself, but I know from looking at the in-game mod settings that Kijin assassins are actually a thing that can happen.

Guys, I FINALLY bashed down the firewall with a sledgehammer and now can download mods. I already have some mod lists, so right now I only need a childbirth mod. Any recommendations?

Right, have any of you tried downing an insectoid, rescueing it and wait until it wakes up, and see if they are no longer manhunter and tameble? I mean, it works on the black hive, but I'm not sure for vanilla...

You should be able to tame them in vanilla. In older versions, that required some tricks, but that was changed later.

You can tame them that way, though I think they're still made aggressive if you attack the hives again before you manage to tame them. I might be remembering wrong though, tamed insects are pretty uninmpressive creatures since they can't be trained to do anything more than follow a pawn around and protect them, so I usually don't bother.

Personally I favour plain old dogs. They haul, they protect, they rescue, they breed reasonably quickly, are omnivores and nuzzle people. I might upgrade to bears when I can. Insects lack utility functions, can't breed and have gross meat when butchered, so they're not really worth taming.

Guys I've been playing with What the Hack and I got a early ship crash before I researched hacking. Can I still down them and I dunno, stuff them somewhere?

EDIT: Oh well, all the mechanoids died. Right so, now that I do have hacking researched, how do you guys recommened downing them? I think meleeing them is'nt exactly the greatest idea, especially now that I saw the DPS of an Aura at close range

How often do your pawns die and you just, well, accept it? I usually savescum everytime and usually they won't die on the second attempt.

The starting three (or five) are hard for me not to savescum. I also tend to develop feelings for the first few arrivals. Later pawns, not so much. Unless they're really awesome.
