Cosplaying
« on: September 16, 2013, 05:17:20 pm »

Hi all, so theirs a convention coming this january and it will be my second ever going to  :).

So my thing is i want to dress up as something easy to move in and easy to make. This'll obviously be my first costume ever so i'm here to ask for help.
Who knows this could become a cosplaying thread for b12.

There's a just huge amount of characters you could cosplay. Anything from then entire cast of gravity falls, to sebastian, to pretty much anyone. What shows are you interested in?

Oh, and could you post a picture?  That'll make it a lot easier to figure out which characters would be easiest.

I've done some cosplay. It's easier to answer specific questions. But if you want a general tip: choose a character who you physically resemble. If you're a 90 pound girl, don't try to cosplay as Genma from Ranma. If you're a 200 pound guy, don't try to cosplay as Sailor Moon.

Unless you're Manfaye.

Of course, the most important thing to remember is to have fun with it.

I'm actually working on a few cosplays for a con I'm going to in November myself.

Pretty sure that's a reference to an episode of PPG where some thugs put on outfits to make themselves look like the girls and went around robbing banks and stuff.
