Still avidly following the development.

As expected, I have needed to start working again and so don't have any time to actually play this or anything else.  But it sure was cool the couple of times I did fire it up! 

Really I just revel in the design of the thing, and think about how to apply the lessons in my daily life.  Well, maybe not daily.  But I'm sure I can find applications at least quarterly.

You, micronormal, and the URR dude are my favorite tweeters.  twitterers? twitterati? hmm.

Thanks and sorry I've been unable to keep the dev blog going at the same pace since launch :/

Posts continue, but are fewer in between as everything else crowds around me...

Quarterly applications? Hahaha. Glad you like it, and maybe you'll have time next year when it's done and hopefully even more impressive.

I did an interview on Roguelike Radio recently, so you can check that out soon, too :D (not yet released--I'll be sure to spread the news when it is)

Here we have a few balance tweaks and trap-related improvements, in preparation for the Alpha Challenge 2015 event which should begin in about 24 hours assuming I can finish preparations today. The announcement will go out through all the usual channels, including the in-game news system.

Anyone remember the tournament we had with the Cogmind 7DRL? It's like that only bigger and better, with prizes even :D

(Note: From now until the event start, all score uploads will be ignored during the transition to the new leaderboards.)

The full Alpha 3c (0.10.150908) Tournament Edition changelog:

* NEW: Warning message and sound effect feedback before stepping on a known hostile trap
* NEW: 5 more metrics recorded on score sheet
* NEW: Added mention of accuracy cap (95%) and lower bound (10%) to the manual
* MOD: Robot meltdown frequency decreased significantly
* MOD: Slightly weakened effect of blade/segregator traps
* MOD: Blade/segregator traps ignore all storage/container parts
* MOD: Med./Lrg./Hcp. Storage Unit mass increased
* MOD: Programmer dispatch frequency varies less wildly
* MOD: Improved descriptions for Signal Interpreters, Terrain Scan Processors, ECM Suites
* FIX: Misdirection caused by system corruption failed to redirect (broken by Alpha 2) [Adraius]
* FIX: Unidentified prototypes in your inventory at the end of a run were listed as an ID'ed prototype [Adraius]
* FIX: Player names and manual world seeds including spaces weren't fully read from config file
* FIX: Armor Integrity Analyzers were only sometimes working as intended

Saves are not compatible with 3b.

There are still 6 days left in the Alpha Challenge!

The leaderboard top 10 is becoming pretty competitive, though the number of players has plateaued so I can say that right now that according to the prize rules, even those not in the top 10 have a nearly 20% chance of receiving a free gift key or in-game item attribution just for participating.

Of the 64 total achievements, 17 have been fully revealed so far:

Hahahahaha, it's my 35th b'day today, so I'm getting sloshed. But tomorrow, it's on. With a hangover.

New PC pressy and all.

Expect that titanium sweat off Cogmind's nuts to be informally called "sambojin" by Wednesday arvo. Gonna buy a new copy.
