Frogdo picks up the mace with the red spot on the handle. Twirling it around, he suggests, Commercial district, I'd think. We'll have more to salvage from there.

Samuel nods and agrees with Frogdo, "Yeah, open the door to the commercial district"

Take two of the knives.

Randall come from behind and quickly fetched two knives:

-N-Now we are more prepared to face whatever is outside.

Follow the group, from behind

Freddie suddenly snaps out of a temporary fugue of some indeterminate kind.

"Uh... right. Commercial district."

Get a mace. There's always use for a mace.

Pick up the last club.

"Hopefully this won't be necessary."

Marion suddenly turns away from the main group to the other fork

"I've got a hunch," she says over the comms. "If there's been looting there might be more unscathed at the edge of town. Also we want to be maximising our chances of finding survivors, so we shouldn't put all our eggs in the same basket. You gentlemen stick together and don't worry about me: I'm a professional."

Head towards the edge of town.

In truth, she knows the edge is closer to her daughter's living unit...

The two guards watched the group gather the gear and nodded as they saw them reach a conclusion. The terse guard motioned for the five to follow him as he moved down the right pathway, not looking back to see if they're following him.

The other guard nodded at Marion. "This way to the outskirts Ma'am." The guard followed Marion down the central corridor.

[I'll be splitting up the update into two sections, one for the five heading towards the commerce district and the sixth towards the outskirts.]

[Outskirts]
Spoiler: Outskirts Group (click to show/hide)

[Ho man this was a huge update. Blerg. Also welcome to Act 1, tell me if I was confusing, hopefully I didn't get any of the two mixed up.]

"Uhh, anyone know where should we hit first? Grocery stores have probably been looted already, but it won't hurt to check."

Ask the computer of the location of the closest grocery/convenience/bulk store.

We're looking for food, right? We need food warehouses. I should know, I stole from them all the time when the city wasn't whack.

KOMPUTERR! SEARCH FOR FOOD WAREHOUSES!

Marion ducks into the side of the street, trying to avoid being seen. Looking around she tries to figure out how recent the trash is: she looks at labels, checks for decaying food. She also looks at the nearby building walls- had there been signs of gun violence?

Plot a course on the mini-map for Maintenance.

Hmm, thinks Marion, this route could probably be tweeked to take me past the condo where my daughter Belle lives...

Also, locate on the map Hydroponics and Engineering.

"Dude, water's the first priority. Like, always. Let's check for that, eh? Any food that's just lying around is probably spoiled, anyway."

Propose that we look for water. Like, some kind of water pump or purifier or something. Hunger we can live with - it's thirst that'll kill everyone.

((You can survive for weeks without food, although it's most definitely not pleasant. Dehydration just kills you within days.))
