Oh come on guys, why the hate?

The guy has come on here, posts regularly, gives away ANY game from the GG catalogue to four or five people - posts a friendly 'remember GamersGate' message and he gets that sort of reply!?

He has just given away four/five games...ANY games...that's freaking awesome!

I weigh it against hemmingjay, who does the same thing but doesn't feel the need to promote/pimp out websites as part of it.

What's wrong about promoting their website? Hell, you get exposed to more promotion in your daily lives than on bay12, and most people who want you to buy stuff from them generally don't give you free games.

This would be the same as "Any Steam game for free" and claiming it was advertising for Steam...

I'm assuming Alex works for Gamersgate in some form, but he hasn't been pimping the company.  It's just how the gift is distributed.

Because this is a discussion board, not adspace. There have been more than enough people trying to use Other Games as a boost for their business already.

Hemmingjay is also awesome, but it's not a competition about who can give the most away without mentioning a website. That's just ridiculous.

Alex ran a giveaway, has given those winners a choice of any game, and added a friendly reminder of GamersGate at the end. That's today's awesomeness.
