My fort runs on an fps of 10... so i usually just let it run while i watch a youtube video... i mean nothing that ever happens....

It happens all the time. That's usually when I start taking unnecessary risks on purpose until the game returns to the "Oh god I have ruined everything" mode.

every single fortress that i don't abandon i completely seal and drown everyone inside. since i did something to my raws to turn off invaders by mistake its really the only way to end the monotony

i am running a very specific flavor of 31.25, plus i do all of my little mods by hand, and i couldn't remember what made a civ invade, which was the [BABYSNATCHER] tag. didnt want to rehunt down the bacon trees and barlaying dogs and all the other things i overlook

If you want a civ to be hostile, just give it the [utterances] tag. It won't be able to speak and so cannot do diplomacy, making it hostile.

anything i can do to make ......i probabally have to adjust the [PROGRESS_TRIGGER_POP_SIEGE] tag to make civs invade at a lower population, dont i? im only seeing 1,2,and 3, does that specify a specific sized population in real numbers?

At first I thought the text said :that whenever your dwarves are smoothing (Walls,floors,etc.) your fortress is running smoothly.
