Goblins being really dark isn't anything new, but godsdamn this latest one is pretty morbid.

Way way too long... but pretty much no time in-universe, I think.

A guessing game!  What has horns?  I doubt the answer's tiefling, at least by 3.5 rules where tieflings had random, minor infernal attributes.  Like tiny horns OR sharp teeth, but appearing "human at a glance".  Things could always be different in Elli's art style, though.

Sorta expecting it to be a devil of some kind, but that twist might be too obvious.  not to mention that Kore killing an actually evil creature is pretty far out amirite
(Also-also, demons and devils don't have souls like mortals do, it's more like they ARE souls?  So it'd be a little weird if he could capture them the same way)

Yeah, 3.5 lore has outsiders being 100% organic soul, whereas humanoids are more of a soul in a disposable meat wrapper.

As for horns, maybe a half-fiend template? Oooh, or maybe a half-dragon! Possibly even something more exotic, like a satyr or other fey creature.

Still, our disembodied friend Pawlush is familiar with giants, gnomes, and celestial creatures, so they seem well educated for whatever they are. The name makes me think they're some kind of humanoid-animal hybrid, since it kind of sounds like someone's furry fetish character.

So, Vorpal is changing things.... What things?

Character sheet.... Isn't Vorpal 1/12 each class?
Maybe that changed.

Vorpal is saying Fumbles isn't preferred name.... Are they mirroring the artist as trans?

I may be missing some other change but unsure what.....

https://www.goblinscomic.com/comic/page-21

Of course there is the name not right stuff and "she." Also levels outside time.... Room full of clocks......

It looks like he's holding his fake moustache a looking at it as it's engulfed in white flame, then hides it under his robe.

Update- in which someone realizes they're left handed
Vorpal is saying Fumbles isn't preferred name.... Are they mirroring the artist as trans?
I doubt it involves gender, but I do wonder if the name thing was inspired by Elli's experience.  Vorpal just went through a painful self-discovery and came out of it needing to assert his identity, is my interpretation.
It looks like he's holding his fake moustache a looking at it as it's engulfed in white flame, then hides it under his robe.
Oh dang maybe it is gender related?  huh
