This is a top floor of what is going to be our new sports stadium, I know it is rather small but it is oing to be effective either way^^ I need a name for this game though, prefereably before saturday, here is the:

Two teams start in the Starting Boxes/Locker Rooms. Teams have either Light, Heavy or Archer armor sets ( I will post what those are in a sec). Mixed matches are ok (Light vs Heavy, Heavy vs Archer etc.).

After the teams are "ready" (read: locked in the starting box) we drop gobblins/elves/humans/trolls/wildlife/random noble into the Stadium.

Once we are sure everything is ready we set both teams to go to the center of the Stadium, just below the Arbiter Box (one with the up-ward stair in the picture), whenever one soldier of any squad moves in to that sphere the match is over, team who has that dwarf on it's side gains a moderate amount of points. Teams get points for kills as well.

Winning team gets to have an artifact statue in their training room, this trophy is now temporarily placed in RIN entrance.

And here is where I need help with this concept, I need to decide how much points for kills and reaching the middle, I need to name this game somehow and I need to decide if I allow whole 10 dwarf squads or 2-3 chosen players.... Please do help me with this^^ You get the stadium named after your dwarf if your name gets chosen, there is no vote however.

**Why Archers get less protection? 'cause they have Ranged weapons, nobody else is allowed. And yeah, I do not count Gar as the Guardsdwarves will be excluded from the competition. And no, I am not being a dick, someone from Guards Squad will be the Arbiter.

KB came up with new crazy idea of competitions. He already signed the blueprints of new arena.
The main idea is to have two teams at the arena where are goblins and such are thrown in, and who kills them - get points.
As I said, agents surely do their sadistic experiments on civilians.
Good thing I'm not joining teams. Bad thing that I will do as Arbiter. More needless job to do!

When you place Gar at the arbiter post, make sure he get no way to escape and no line of fire - he'll probably run away scared by goblins as civilian or run into the battle as the guard. If that's not what you want though....

Ufff... I am stuck for a little while, so no scenes with pictures and overall short chapterl.... After this chapter and next chapter are finished we will have a little jump forward in time, I played ahead but had to savescum due to a tiny miscalculation on my part (4 full squads, including 2 hammerlords, are not enough to hold off a minor [30-50] siege.... especially when they strip and run outside shouting "I MUST PICK UP THAT SOCK/SHIRT/SHIELD OVER THERE BY THOSE GREEN GUYS!")

KB was fed up with the doctors. You have to stay in bed, they say. Your foot did not heal yet, they said. If you go now you will have a scar there forever, they say. So what? Scar is a scar, nothing more. Given, his foot still hurt a little bit but it was nothing major.

KB walked out of the hospital doors, using his sheathed sword as a crutch, to find Tallow Stew waiting for him, with some plans and pictures...

Zurko and Prickle Berry Pie worked hard on repairing the gate, so far with no success....

Solymr felt his mind was weakening . His Master was furious and she was torn between obeying her orders and helping dwarves who have became somewhat of friends to him. Demand for glass was in all time low as well.

And now, due to some stupid legislation, all the artifacts were "confiscated" by RIN. Some of them, like Rasuk Id, were given back to those who were using them but most were hidden somewhere, depriving Solymr of the chance to study them.

Solymr knew they could not know who or what she was, despite his glowing eyes and ethereal voice most dwarves in the fortress seemed to tolerate her, or even trust his words. She was definitely not the weirdest thing that have been seen in these halls. But it did not change the fact that this legislation looked like a direct attack on her and his hobby.

'And you think this will work?' KB was not so sure about TS' plans.

'Of course it will! Trust me, for once!' TS seemed displeased with lack of faith in his abilities. 'Even though Flame have passed that legislation with recruitment most males of the fortress did not join the army yet. I have deduced it is due to a very low morale!' TS explained. 'This will help to raise it!' He continued while gesturing towards piles of posters portraying Flame pointing a finger at the viewer. All the posters read: "Uncle Urist needs YOU!"

'Are you sure using Flame's face is a good move?' This was the part that worried KB the most. Everyone knew he and Flame did not exactly get along.

'Let me walk you through the thought process on this one.' TS rolled his eyes, annoyed with his co-workers inability to see obvious. 'Everyone knows Flame. Everyone TRUSTS Flame. Putting his face on the poster gives these posters a feel of legitimacy and trustworthness.'

'But how exactly they are supposed to convince people to stand on the frontlines?'

'Simple, it will make them feel obliged to join up if it is Flame who says they are needed.' TS was clearly not changing his mind....

'I think I got it!' PBP's voice reached Zurko, who was looking over the blueprints. PBP's shout was followed by a very loud crash and a handful of swears. 'No I didn't!'

'What are we going to do about training? We do not have nearly enough Captain level dwarves to train them all...' KB was trying to figure out all the details of the plan.

'Ah! And here is where our Culturee comes in!' TS eyes lit as he recalled the Great Stadium that was recently built in Mountainhomes. 'There is that new sport in Capitol, Called M.A.D.N.E.S.S, I have already drawn plans for a stadium...'

'Fine, fine! What is that game about anyway?' KB and TS talked bout the rules and premise of M.A.D.N.E.S.S. Afterwards KB went to tell the Guards Squad that they are to learn how to Arbiter the Game, KB himself being moderately interested after hearing all the details.

An interesting development has occurred. The agents in the fortress have decided to use my face as propaganda for our military. While I'm pleased that they're getting more people to enlist, it does pose a question: What else might they use my face for? They could do just about anything and claim I support it. The worst part is, a lot of dwarves would agree based on that alone. In unrelated news, I've decided to name my hammer Tuftsmoothness, the Innocent Cyclone. I named it because this great hammer flies through skulls like they're naught but a tuft of feather, and it has had no undeserving blood spilt upon it. While wielding it, it becomes almost like a cyclone of flying blood and flashing metal, both in my hands and Griffin's. She was a good woman, and it was horrific having to kill her like that, but it had to be done.

For those wondering how I know the hammer name, Exodius told me out of thread.
Also, I think I found a theme for Sunshine.
