Sigh. Flip the power breaker/pull the plug and turn system back on.
If that doesn't work, enter the BIOS and look for a reformatting floppy.
If I don't have that, take a sip of my cup and wait for IT to inevitably show up. Again.

Head over to ask 'Tabella' is (s)he can fix the computer crash, then go find the office supply closet and find some more staples.

Might as well chalk it up to Pathos.
As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

Just for everyone's information, I can only update on the weekends.  That's the only time of the week I have time to work on this.

Turn 3: The Crash is a Bigger Problem Than First Expected

Cromwell Jackson
You enter the hallway.

Then make your way into Tabella's office to ask her/him if he/she can fix the crash.  When you enter, you find out see a frustrated female lizardfolk with a cup of water at her desk.

Daniel "Dan" McGun

You attempt to dial up the building's IT department, but before you do, you notice that the phone line is giving a tone that tells you the line is dead.  Rather than waste time looking for the file, you head outside of your office.  There isn't anyone out in your hallway, but across from your office is someone by the name of Dennis Heidenburg's.

Dennis Heidenburg

You attempt to reboot your system by pulling the plug, then restarting it.  The system crashes yet again.  You can't even keep the BIOS working properly for any period of time before the system decides to kill itself off again.  Furthermore, you did not bring your copy of the reformatting floppy for this edition, and this office building's management apparently didn't provide a copy.  However, in your upper left desk drawer, there is for some reason a fully charged flashlight.  You prepare to wait for IT to show up, when you realize that since this is a new building, they likely wouldn't think you were the cause.

Da Pro Artist
You go and exit into the hallway, where you run into some sort of alien entity.  You guess based upon the plaque on the door behind it that it's name is Zyk'al C'thyar.

Tabella
You begin a hard reboot, and go over to get a drink of water.  You then return to sitting at your desk to wait for the computer to see if it will finish rebooting or just crash again.  As you see it crash again, your door opens and some human male enters.

Zyk'al C'thyar

You exit into the hallway at the same time the person from the other office exits theirs.  You guess based upon the name behind the entity (I'm going to hazard the guess that he cannot readily identify humans) that its name is 'Da Pro Artist'

Finish my cup of drink.
Give the computer a nice hearty "friendly" tap.
Walk into the hallway with the flashlight off and stress ball in hand.

((Mouse over my speech to see a translation of what i say.))
"I'm Da Pro Artist."

"XXuuu yarkua, Da Pro Artist hujk. Aud zyha sqi xasl. Zy'kal C'thyar hujkau. Hujki ka xyx adahh kull crakk?"

The words seemed to twist in the air to something understandable. Not English, but a fundamental understanding of the words. Four eyes regarded the poorly drawn artist without blinking. The respirator hissed menacingly.

((I think Batman was not an office worker. The whole thing about Private Eyes was that they didn't belong to a big organisation, wasn't it? At least, AFAIK.))

(( Well Private Eye was suggested as a possible job. If not, I can make him a security officer. ))

"Hujaui h'ky."

Zy'kal looked along the corridor, seeing who was in the neighbouring cubicles.

neighbouring cubicles.

There are no cubicles, everyone has their own personal room for an office.

Somebody on the waitlist needs to have Gangster as their race. All their dialogue must be run through Gizoogle before it is posted.
