Follow Alan and potentially cover him from the assault of !!abominations!!.

You start going towards the general's house. Before you manage to get too close, he steps out, one hand wearing a metal gauntlet, the other holding a sword.
"Do not come near my home." he shouts towards you.
"Leave this place and take the death you have created with you." he adds and points his gauntlet-wearing arm towards you. Fire starts gathering on its palm.

Campaign, Ike!

"Death is an intangible concept, daddy-o!" Ike shouts back. "Besides, you're the man holding all the balls of fire, I dare say you'd be much better at taking that shit elsewhere than we would!"

He tries to remember for a moment what exactly he needs this guy for.

"Oh, by the way, do you know where the other incompetents are? I kind of need the wolf guy to help me out with something!"

Get directions, hopefully. Listen for approaching horrors. Look behind me for a moment also. Be prepared for great balls of fire, naturally.

Alan stops, putting his hands behind his back as a gesture of trust.

"Chill, daddy-o, I know you want us to leave. We're gonna stay gone, the only thing reminding you I ever existed will be the sock puppets and stories I gave to your kiddo. We just need to know where our compadres went, safety in numbers and all.

Oh, and don't worry about the soldiers - they were remarkably unchill, but they're all dirt-napping now thanks mainly to Ike. Oh, and while I'm pretty sure I kersploded it, one of them either was or turned into a weird freaky black magic jello skull man thingy. So just in case it stayed intact after the big boom I gave it, be ready and stuff."

Alan uses Chillax Bro! Hopefully get directions as to our compadres, unintentionally reminding the general that I put him in a bind regarding whether he endure the traumatic memories of me whenever he looks at Professor Alan or alienate his kid by taking the puppet away.

The general points with his sword towards the east and then sweeps it towards the northeast.
"Follow the edge of the Godstone towards Areloggez."

It is eerily quiet. Only the sound of the fire and your shouting can be heard.

"Thanks, broski! C'mon Ike, let's leave the man to his generalness and stuff. Probably got things to do, fluff balls to feed."

Alan turns to leave and starts walking in the direction the general indicated, but looks back momentarily.

"Oh by the way I left you a ton of Red Bull somewhere in your house. Or I might have spiked all your food and drink with it, I forget. Either way, you're welcome. Stuffs delish! 'Kay, bye now."

Cheerfully skip off in the direction he pointed to.

I forgot to mention, the direction he pointed at is straight through the fire. So unless you wanna try summoning a fire hose or something, I'll just have you walk/run around it.
