Shamelessly stolen from Akhier the Dragon hearted who stole it from ScriptWolf who stole if from Il Palazzo :P ( with his say so* ), and scantly updated for Dom4 by the latest OP.

All right, Llamaserver is supporting Dom4 hosting, so lazy Dom4 PBEM is a dream realized! Let's get this show on the road; I'm hoping for an 8-10 player match. Eyeballing Valanis for a map. Open-minded in terms of eras, but I'd prefer MA or LA. Thoughts?

Haven't played much since the official release, but I'm game. Any interest in a disciples match?

I'm game. Anything to take my mind off the disaster that is my perfomance in round 15.
No particular preferences at the moment, may come back later with some.

I combed through illwinter, desura and gamersgate sites but couldn't find a demo. If there's one, a link would be appreciated.
I guess Illwinter isn't the worst company to support with 25€ but I'd prefer to be assured that my dustbucket can actually run the game before I purchase.

Delta - I can't think of seeing anything about a demo this time around, sorry. FWIW, it seems like the resource demands are at worst about the same as Dom3 - and it actually might run a little better.

Karlito - I might be willing to do a Disciple game, yeah. I don't have strong feelings about it either way, but it would be good to actually try the shiny new jiggers and widgets that Illwinter saw fit to provide us.

Bought it, no relevant problems as far as gameplay is concerned.

So I guess I'm in if you don't mind someone new to the game. I'll skim through the manual and play some rounds against the AI to try and get the basics down. I assume it's going to be a week or so before ~8 players and their pretender & nation choices are clear anyway.

I think it'd be fun, but it depends on everyone else's willingness.

Thrones of Ascension is obviously the best victory condition, but I'm really not sure of the best settings to use for them. Anyone have a good ratio of thrones to players that we should strive for? What fraction of points need to be captured for victory?

I'm for MA, Bandar Log.
Valanis looks interesting.
I'm ambivalent towards the disciple thing. Might rething my nation choice if we do go that way.
As for Thrones, maybe adding a few extra, higher-level ones would be fun, rather than just the default 1st level batch. 3/4 or 2/3 for victory would be fine.

I am 100% in. Fine with any age though I find MA's most well-rounded. Undecided on nation.

I'm game. Undecided on nation. I honestly haven't even touched Dom 4 yet (shame, I know) so I have no experience with any of the shiny new mechanics, but that said I'm all for including new stuff like Thrones. Disciples could be interesting, but I'm uncertain about jumping into that as my first multiplayer match in Dom4.

I'm leaning toward Middle Age in general and Man in particular.

I roll anyway you guys want, but I fear I'd be more dead weight than anything if we did a team game.

On the subject of thrones, we're looking at a 160-ish province map. My initial proposal would be as follows:

15/21 Ascension points to win, with a breakdown of 12/3/1.

This gives us one throne province per ten provinces, and requires holding 9-14 throne provinces to win - probably about half the map. It gives us a couple of higher-level thrones, but not so many as to throw things completely out of whack, as the higher-level thrones are wont. If we were playing with disciples, I'd suggest doubling the level 2s and 3s, and go for 21/30.

(Alternately, if we want a more modest game where thrones have more value, and Holy-3 priests have less, we could go with 9/13 on 6/2/1.)
