That sounds lovely.  If you PM me the basics of the encounters, I'll try to dramatize as appropriate.  You could let the peasants talk to me, it may make for funny conversations.  I'm going for rather harmless buffoon, with a streak of dangerous disregard for safety, sanity, and common sense.

Also, how do we feel about other races?  I'm thinking befuddled xenophobia, but I may restrain myself from actually slaughtering all the elves.  We could do the diplomat fix thing to bring the other caravans around.

I think that, in addition to modding in the elven diplomats (whether manually or through the use of 3rd party tools), we should also mod in the human guild representatives for extra diplomatic hijinks!

Naturally, you will remain captain of the guard.  Hissihn Walnuts, glad to have you on board.

My dorf hates anything that isn't a dwarf or livestock or pet.

Modding Update:
I have included, on Grimmash's request, a permanent leader position in the fortress that is not elected, allowing me to choose whoever I wish.  The bookkeeper currently has three levels, at which he gets more and more nobley.  There is a legend noble that is implemented at 10 dwarfs, which can be filled "as needed".  There are also many of the 2D guild representatives in some ways, only they are appointed nowadays.  They can also be appointed at 10 dwarfs.  The 10 dwarf thing is that they are appointed nobles, and as such would be culled from embark if they could be allowed on embark aka. 7 or fewer dwarfs as only requirement.

No promotion for the broker or manager?

I don't know if manager ever progressed, but why not. Modding time.

Edit: Alright, I'm done modding the nobles for now, I'll get around to modding the guild representatives later today (I'm three hours behind the DF forums clock).  If anyone has any noble requests, please post them.

Alright Proto, you can be CMD.

As an aside, the game isn't going to start for a while until I ensure that all my mods are working correctly.  In the meantime, anyone who wants to sign up can.

Where are we embarking? If it isn't already decided, I vote for some forested joyous wilds; just the kind of place for a noble safari.

I found something close.  mirthful dunes up against wilderness forest.  Not savage, but ah well.  The generator isn't good at taking requests  :P
