I got bored with the forum so now i am responsible and made a group.
This group is for the dwarf fortress community and the server im hosting.

You must be in this group in order to join the server. Please do not share the address to friends unless they join this group, managing this game without an admin console is pretty tough and if I have to I will break your stupid machine for being an ass or endangering my/others data. In the discussions section post your characters names so we know who is who.

This server is operating on the Starbound Beta of course, expect crashes. This server is testing the capabilities of the multiplayer aspect of the game and i do actually want to see this break. Also my computer likes to restart whenever it feels like so it will crash too just at random intermittance.

Lastly, im dedicating my gaming computer for the purpose of hosting the server. Overtime i will purchase a machine for all of my server work and place this on that, cause of that there will be times the server is down as im using it. If you guys wanted to play though just send me a message and i can get it up hosting once i clear up what i need to do.

Just out of interest what are the specs of your server ?

2500k Intel
8gb ram
HD 7950 graphics.


For 6 clients I seen 1gb ram usage and minimal CPU load so its going to take a lot.

Telle, what are you going to set as policy re: making new characters/using existing ones, and using mods that mesh with vanilla (like the sandbox ship maker)?

No, no. I meant mods that don't have to be server-side, ones that a client can have and which will still work in a vanilla server.
