Cromwell manages to pull the orc back, although Norji put up little resistance anyways. It seems, however, that the Mirok heard you. The carriage begins wheeling towards you, chasing you down rather quickly. When it inevitably reaches you, the party collectively flinches and braces themselves for a spear strike that doesn't come. The scaly one begins to speak to you in a voice as insubstantial as a shadow.
Ah, so some more mortals have arrived. Although, you smell a little off, somehow. Wait, is that...?
The demon sniffs the air and looks ponderous for a moment. Slowly, a grin spreads across his face, as much as a vile creature such as him can have one.
"Ah, yes, you're the Champions, aren't you? The ones who are going to try and kill the Mirok? What a riot that'd be! Anyways, introductions. I am Xif, the Guardian of Darkness, and the lowest in the Order of the Grand Mirok. While I'm supposed to kill you here and now, that doesn't sound like much fun. I'll let you go for now. Of course, if you happen to come by again..."
The demon gnashes his teeth at you.
"Before you leave, have some parting gifts. Not much, but they do have some rather unusual abilities."
He begins shouting at the lesser demons in a language you don't understand. One jumps out of the chariot, and takes a blade out of the back. He holds it carefully, and seems to be trying to avoid touching the blade.
"The Weiß Schwert. It's said to have been blessed by Pelor himself. No clue if there's any truth to the story, but it's a well forged blade nonetheless. As for a second gift, I'll answer one question of your choosing, to the best of my abilities."

Isn't that the problem with women? The second you marry one it's all "I want better weapons" and "Let me kill all things we come across".

Catarina paused from fleeing. Well... it was certainly an opportunity.
"By what method did you escape from the gods sealing you off?"

Ah, now that was an interesting story. When the gods forged our prison, what they essentially did was move our planes so that they didn't intersect with any others. This made it impossible to travel anywhere else outside of our respective planes- for example, here, the Gate of Darkness. However, my eldest brother, Yenog, was able to create a small amulet that would allow a wearer of evil intent to open a portal to my realm, given that it was the closest and easiest to travel to. He dropped it through a small portal he made to the Material Plane, and waited until someone opened the gate. That abominable priest family held onto it for so long, we began to lose hope. But then, some very courteous bandits came to town, and decided to steal the necklace. That was our cue. We came into your realm, decided to have a bit of combat practice, and, well, you know the rest.
He brandishes the human head as he finishes that last sentence.
Now, since you'd probably like to get out of here as soon as possible, which of you will take the long sword Weiß Schwert?

"A long sword is not my weapon of choice, but if none other wish to, i'll take this off your claws." A bold woman's voice, not a hint of fear showed in the tone. A lie to the terror that bubbled beneath.

"I won't be touching that blade. If it was truly blessed by Pelor, then a demon wouldn't even be capable of holding it. Let's go."

Ah, a true shame. The sword would have made our inevitable fight so much more fun. Very well, then, goodbye.
He begins to cast a spell, and the ground in front of the chariot begins to open up. Soon, you're gazing through to what appears to be Abeli, from a short distance up in the sky.
I'd hurry up and jump through, if I were you. I don't know that I can hold it open that much longer. Oh, and don't bother mustering an army. They might get through the Gate and Plane of Darkness, but they won't win against my brother in the Plane of Torment.

((Er...Uh...I knew that! Yeah. Totally.))
Algarius steps forward to take the blade before leaving. The demon hands the blade over to you, with a look of great relief on his face. On closer inspection, the sword has several runes running down the hilt.
Do you have anything else to try and do, or will you go through the portal.

If the portal doesn't kill the others who go through, go through.
