Grimrock is real time, which is neat enough, but I'd really rather play something without the in-combat time pressure.

Star Crawlers looks interesting, a sci-fi dungeon crawler. Operencia not so much, it looks like all the party members are pre-set so you can't make your own.

Is there any sort of, modern successor to the Wizardry series? I would love to go for a first-person turn-based party-based dungeon crawl, but everything on PC is either old and potentially unsupported, or is missing one (or more) of the qualifications listed earlier in this sentence.

Modability would be a plus, even if it's limited to importing custom character portraits.

Operation Abyss/Babel, Stranger of Sword City, Labyrinth of Refrain? There's also a fairytale themed one whose name escapes me at the moment. These all use a Japanese art aesthetic and fall into the category of the modern dungeon crawler, so they're not quite as brutally unfair as the old ones.

If you have a *DS, the Etrian Odyssey series is fantastic.

Have you played Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls?  It had a PC release this year but was originally on the PS3.

Horizon's Gate is a big recommend from me, so far. Very FFTactics Advance with a cool world and a piratey theme. I played for about two hours so far and am hooked.

I didn't stop playing for two days and now I'm doing an LP of it on this forum.

Looking for roguelike or grand strategy where I can join a town, fight for a nation, and trade items.

Mount and Blade Warband style? Battle Brothers has a bit of that, but it's shallow. My previous recommend also does, but even shallower.

Have you tried StarSector?

My computer is too old for the new Mount and Blade. StarSector looks decent.

Difficult question here. I'm trying to find a persistent, multiplayer sandbox space game in the vein of games like of what notch envisioned for 0x10c, or better yet games like Empyrion:Galactic Survival(Empyrion has too limited of a playerbase. I like hundreds or thousands). No Man's Sky is great after all the updates and crossplay implementation, but there's no realistic PvP mechanic for the game either, which is my only qualm with it. How is Dual Universe looking these days? What would you recommend, guys and gals?

Any building games with a stronger purpose FOR building? Preferably with other people, but not going to be picky there.

Ooblets?

From what I've seen of it it's basically Pokemon but with dance battles.
