2-3 months, probably.

FFS...

We've waited two years for this awesomeness, we can wait a few more months.

Except I've been hearing "2-3 months" ever since I first joined these forums.
And I'm kinda extremely tired of it.

Well, there'll always be people throwing out estimates like that and they're not likely to stop. And seeing as there's very little chance they'll get it right with how DF development works it's better to just ignore them.

Yeah but sometimes it's just fun to stir shit up and make declarations of an imminent release simply because you can.

My guess would be June, it's nearly 3 months, so one month of debugging, and 2 months for the 6 items.

Hmm. Of the 6 remaining items, "plant list" sounds like busywork and "guard/intruder checks" might be tricky, but otherwise they don't sound too complicated. Feeling cautiously optimistic, against my better judgement.

Should probably go warm up the DF2015 hype train though, in case complications happen.

As far as waiting for the next version, current estimates peg it at late January, so you'll probably be waiting for a while.

I just wanted to come in and laugh at this post.
