Dont eat the nice guy.
Leave him.
Feast on the flesh of the native woodland creatures.

We want him alive, he is willing to teach us stuff and help us, he is of much better use to us alive for now.

Isn't that the problem with women? The second you marry one it's all "I want better weapons" and "Let me kill all things we come across".

Love you, Cinder <3

WE're in an effin JUNGLE. This place should be LITERALLY crawling with weird bugs all over. And plants that are even worse. Try varius pants until you find one of the ones with absurdly overpowered neurotoxins in it. Then start working on this bucket list: http://www.cracked.com/article_19305_7-real-insect-superpowers-that-put-spidey-sense-to-shame.html . Also, moth sense of smell is the best there is.

Absorbing bugs and flowers....we could look so cute with the right combination of bright colors, petals, and wings.

I agree. We could become rather deadly by drawing from some local lifeforms. Is there anything near-by? Can we help our human find food?

You take the large rifle, and test it experimentally on a poor bush. It emits a loud fizzing sound, before firing a bolt of plasma. The impact rips most of the bush out of the ground, and the remains of it are glowing from the whitish-orange fire consuming it.
You then head into the surrounding jungle, away from the guard, and begin searching for things to eat. [3] It turns out animals are rather hard to find when you're dark purple in a bright green forest. How you miss home, where the trees were the proper color, purple. You DO manage to stalk and eat a few plants, though. An odd, dark brown mushroom, a small green plant that made you feel sick after eating it, and several dozen flowers that looked interesting.
You head back to the camp. Your head starts spinning soon after you get their, and you begin seeing brilliant colors everywhere, delicious corpses to eat. In this haze, you dream lazilly of domesticating and marrying mankind, and-
Wow. Those 'shrooms are really strong.

Use the colours of the flowers to better hide in our environment, we can do that right?
