So I have a question I've been pondering. All of yall talk like there is a map. But for me there's no map, you just unlock new squares as you go and make your own map. Am I missing something?

I mean, that is the map yeah. But you can access the bird's-eye-view of it for the sake of an overview, and I think for most of us that counts as "the map". Even though it's gonna be different for everyone depending on how and where they place their tiles.

Liking the addition of new content, even though it doesn't really advance the storyline. Which irritates me more than it should, I wager.

The advancement protocols do tend to change every so often, so that my earlier characters tend to either be overpowered or underpowered.
As for overpowered predecessors, my newer characters benefit from everything that I have stockpiled over the ?year(s)?

I got captured by the guards for doing crimes against bandits. This involved being imprisoned for like 2 real time hours. You can't even alt tab and let the game run because one of them runs over to ask for a bribe every 5 minutes and the dialogue stops the timer.

Yeah. Prison is pure cancer. I don't know what they were thinking with that.

On the plus side, while I was in prison the guards suffered some kind of loyalty cascade and ended up filling the prison with their own members and then murdering each other so there's less of them now.

Their general also confessed his love for me, though I dunno if the game will actually let him become my lover given the membership requirements to be a guard.

I see no reason you can't marry the guard.
