Do the ships that give "fugitive search orders" only spawn in the beginning? I started a new game, and for some reason none of them landed in the radar area this time.
for most enemy ship, you need to shadow them with one of yours as there are some that will land out of your radar range in the beginning (or just disappear to space).
shadowing them is the only way to get a landed ship mission then.

Edit: unless other buildings also count as gambling buildings, so I can turn in more than iron coupons.

You can turn in Titanium coupons w/o a casino when you advance your Jack bounties enough.

Having just gotten my first casino recently, and done a little savescumming to test, I strongly recommend selling your Neutronium coupons. They're 125 Jack tokens to cash in, and they seem to be rarely worth as much as you'd get for selling the coupon itself - not just in monetary terms, but also in terms of just being underwhelming. The next level down wasn't terribly exciting either, but I at least didn't feel ripped off turning them in (25 Jack tokens IIRC).

Are they that bad?

Skinsuits need destroyed before you can harm the inner workings, and the squishy bits aren't much weaker than the metal underneath, so it's almost like they need killed twice. The biggest problem, though, is that while in 0-G you're almost exclusively forced to use weapons that work well against the high-armor-low-HP metal frame. In a gravity well, you could be using anything.

The HTML Bootypedia shows all the possible items you can get from it, and I have to agree that they look rather underwhelming. (That also goes for all containers too, like Strongboxes.)

In other news, is there any way to get Young Ubers from anything other than pogroms? I took a really weird route through the tech tree, courtesy of taking Grey and avoiding researching mission unlocks that I hate, leading me to be geared in power armor while duking it out with researchers and highwaymen... and having evidently not discovered boobs. (Or, more specifically, The Most Common Superpower.)

Edit: Oh, right, slipped my mind: I also haven't had a Mutant Pogrom in the last six+ months. (By taking advantage of Gray, I also skipped joining the Mutant Alliance... not that I can; I haven't gotten to it in the tree yet.)

Much later edit: Due to more tech tree shenanigans... I am currently using gauss weapons. I just discovered the good ol' WWII stick grenade.

I ran into exactly the same trouble this run.  I'm pretty sure there's a necropirate scripted to land near us in the first couple weeks, which had young ubers on the map in a previous playthrough.  But I missed that landing in this run, it's unreliable (or I'm crazy).

Other than that I didn't find any until doing a pogrom over a year in.  I was tempted to stun her and take back off, but I managed to escort her (it was only the Academy, and the cyberdisks... were fortunately a safe distance away).

People have asked about Young Ubers in the Discord, it's a known tech block.  Someone claimed the easiest source is aircar races, which like... I guess, if one happens to spawn close by.  I'm just amused I found plenty of Castaway Gals (very nice considering I'm running Male Touch like a dummy) but no young one, heh.

I had the same issue, then I think I won an aircar misison in my shadowbat and got one, followed by another like a week later when a mutant pogrom finally spawned.

How do I run the HTML Bootypedia? I found the files once, but none of them started anything. I think I had to run a file from command line, but that didn't get me anywhere either.

In the xpirates sub-directory, there is a file named xpedia.html, run it in your browser.

If you're on Windows, you might have to set it up by running xpedia.bat first, whereupon it'll spit out the xpedia.html file.

Or you can just grab it here; never tried this upload service though: https://file.io/XnTUxH

I didn't have to set up anything, ran right out of the box, and I am using Edge.

Also, fuck you, New Zealand, and thanks for nothing …………

Oh, and what's the deal with Prepper Boxes? Like, you can use them in the workshop, as STR_PR_BOX somesuch, which helpfully rewards you with *one* scrap metal. It's supposed to give guns and an almanac, right? Do those just pop into existence somewhere post-unboxing?

I got several good items from a prepper box, it's a bit of a gamble.  I got three waiting to be unboxed when I get some spare runts, there could be some difficult to get weapons if your eyebrows at the right angle.

Edit: It seems you will always get (1-4) gun(s) with ammo, (1-3) first aid kit and a gun almanac, with a chance of also getting some grenades, or a second gun if the first one was a particular brand of rubbish.

It's like the gambling coupons. Because the items are random, they aren't listed in the expected results. You should get a summary of what the box had after you unbox it.
The guns you get aren't amazing, but they can be useful if your other guns aren't amazing yet.

So I tried the Speaker armor for Lokks for the 1st time. It is a bit heavy, but awesome. Would recommend. (but have someone with grog nearby, or other means to recover stun an energy)

A Dune thing I assume?

People have asked about Young Ubers in the Discord, it's a known tech block.  Someone claimed the easiest source is aircar races, which like... I guess, if one happens to spawn close by.  I'm just amused I found plenty of Castaway Gals (very nice considering I'm running Male Touch like a dummy) but no young one, heh.

Same, went male touch, have regrets. I've got like one guy that's been through a dozen skirmishes and he's got 80-something shooting, but that's literally like any random gal on two random fights, plus he's made of confetti like every other manthing. At least he can eat a round from a holdout pistol or whatever bullshit flies his way without keeling over instantly.

They're mostly padding so the gals can do their stunning/running/launching flaming cannonballs things. Two dudes to lob molotovs, a few sprayguns on another two, a tommy on the third, domestic shotguns if they can't shoot for shit, and hope to whatever that the bad dudes are squishy or combustible.
I keep defaulting to peasants but that's silly.  SS are more expensive, but have better armor options and initial stats (60 max strength rather than 45 as well).  I guess.  Habits die hard.

Both are alright with shotguns and sprayguns though, against the lightly armored enemies at least.  I've been issuing them smartgun-AMGs with plastsasteel rounds which have good untrained autofire accuracy, and decent stopping power.
It's a lot more bearable if you get TRUCKS, because TRUCKS lets you haul so many more dudes, and not one, but two attack dogs, plus it's got a bigass chaingun on the top of one that can maaaaaaaaybe kill one guy a round with how splatty inaccurate it is. Do Gals runs get Trucks? I figure they get Loknarrs, 'cuz I haven't unlocked them yet, if ever at this rate.
I should try trucks I guess, but I'm already using the Turtle so I have enough space.  Turret sounds fun though (even if it's too inaccurate to hit anything.  I like rapidfire dakka-guns.

Lokknars should be available.  Did you research the bonding ceremony?  It takes the place of the normal party, just different fluff.  That, camouflage, and bounty-hunting should give you the research for Lokknar recruits.  ...I haven't been using them but I should, as pilots now that I'm making interceptors.  And perhaps a gyrojet.
Anyways, I really hope dudes pay off eventually, 'cuz it's gonna come down to like base assault bullshit eventually and ain't no way those dudes are gonna react fast enough or shoot guns big enough or weapons heavy enough to stop anything scary.
pretty sure it never pays off, but you get to recruit Veteran gals.  Eventually (I'm almost there again).  They're expensive as all hell but that's what the economy is for, at least they have great guaranteed stats.
There is a research I missed for "Holy Warriors" though.  Looks like some sort of Militia Training for SS?  *shrug*

I tend to go in with as many gals as a ship holds, so filling it with people/pets with low stats seems like a gamble. Especially when they keep failing morale checks and shooting actually useful gals. I usually travel in groups in case someone needs help taking down an enemy or needs a heal. Not having enough TU to keep up means they can't do that job.

Related: I haven't found a combination of super-high stats that makes Freak Gals worthwhile.
