NOBLE EMBLEM: THE FIRE EMBLEM SHORTGAME OF POLITICAL INTRIGUE IN RANDOM FANTASY WORLD.

Noble Emblem 1: IC Thread!

In Noble Emblem, 8 players take the roles of guardians and mercenaries hired to ensure the safety of a young noble amidst terrible plot to bring him down and throw the duchy/kingdom/country into chaos.

All PCs:
-Start at First Class, level 1.

Guard PCs:
-Minimum 3, maximum 5.
-Can start with a Support C Rank with one other Guard or the NPC Noble.
-They are of noble/court parentage or from families serving the NPC Noble.
-Start with Iron-grade weapons and a Vulnerary, but no Gold.

Mercenary PCs:
-Number of Mercs depends on number of Guards.
-Can start with a Support C Rank with one other Mercenary. Only one Support pairing allowed in the Merc group.
-They work together for short but undefined period of time (leaving that to Mercs!)
-Start with Iron-grade weapon and 300 Gold; these can be bartered with GM for a different weapon (Slim/Steel) or an item or two.

QUESTION ONE: Wtf Haspen don't you have enough FEFs already?

Well, yes, but see, the other FEFs are major projects that will go for a year or maybe more.

Noble Emblems will go two, three months tops, as the amount of Chapters for them will be between 3 to 5.

QUESTION TWO: Do we have to roll new characters for this?

Yes, absolutely - you cannot use FEF1/FEF2 char for this.

However! You can re-use Noble Emblem character from one story in another! I keep base stats on the sheets, so it's just a matter of erasing level up rolls and resetting inventory, battle stats and supports back to zero.

QUESTION THREE: Any restrictions to poor, Fire Emblem-starved FEF players?

Yes, at least for the first Noble Emblem; only one Guard PC and one Mercenary PC can belong to a user that played both FEF1 and FEF2. This restriction works no matter how long you played; one chapter, or from beginning to the end.
If you played only one of FEFs, you can freely join the 1st Noble Emblem.

QUESTION FOUR: Any changes? What about terrain?

Class Changes and Terrain are the same as in FEF2, which you can see here.

...Well, at least I'm off in time to grab one of the spots here. I'll take a mercenary; I'll have a sheet and mug and all soon.

As one of those FE starved hobos, I'll take the Guard spot! I'll probably be recycling one of my older ideas for this one.

...

Can I claim a spot? Give me a bit to figure out whether I want to be a guard or mercenary first.

EDIT: Let's go with guard. Definitely guard.

Everyone else who joins, try out other classes first? :P

EDIT: Oh yeah, and what CE said. If anybody playing wants/needs mugs, we can do 'em for ya.

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

Err... Any ideas on what class I should pick, guys? I have absolutely no idea what to pick right now. I'm currently wavering between Dancer, Bard and Troubadour, though Soldier also appeals to me, and the swordsmen classes look good too...

Depends. Do you want to be support? Because Dancer/Bard are very useful for helping your allies. More turns is more punishment for the enemies. On the other hand, if you want to get a few kills in, you'll have to be something else. Troubadour would allow you to both heal and attack, looks like, but it would be at the cost of being MAD instead of SAD. After all, you'd need both MAG and STR to do everything well.

That said, a Troubadour shouldn't be on the front-lines in either case, and can afford to dump a little bit of their Defense or Resistance (or Luck; everyone seems to dump Luck unless they're doing a crit build) as long as they don't attack where they can be countered.  Alternately, they can stick to pure healing, use their weapons as an emergency back-up, and wait for a promote to Mage Knight to start taking the offensive.  Alternately alternately, they can use the staff as an emergency back-up and prioritize their weapon, then go into Valkyrie, since healing staffs all have a fairly decent baseline (10 for Heal/Physic, 20 for Mend, and all for Rejuvenate) even without major magic investment.  'Tis a class that has a lot of interesting ways to go, though with a game this short, I'm not sure how much promotion will be available.
