Well, I managed to fuzz the gaydar of the one brewery representative, if that counts.

But yeah, being bartender's pet means getting the overflow glasses and whatever gets opened by accident that would otherwise be tossed. Plus discounts for running three-minute grocery runs that you also get compensated for.

We got... Well, it snowed last weekend, so it's been raining and freezing ever since, in traditional form.

Bar manager sent one of the bartenders out on the first run (limes), but shortly thereafter discovered that they needed eggs too... And a full complement of active bartenders. So I got egg duty, and a 60%-price beer for the trouble. Plus an overflow glass, topped off for good measure.


There's... One person working in this bar that I don't know personally. That includes all of the bartenders, chefs, glassers, and the owner.

It's amazing what strict orders from your shrink to visit the pub twice a week will do!

So yeah, we've got ice, and puddles around the ice. It's very N-ice.

Got a whiskey serving set for Christmas, and I can't use it because of the painkillers I'm on. The honey and snack peanuts I can take or leave, but it has a giant spherical ice mold that looks really fun.

Oh yeah. I missed that instruction once, and woke up the next morning. I think the meds were early afternoon. I don't know when I went to sleep, but it wasn't right away.

It finally got cool enough for warm drinks here. I'll sleep well tonight/this afternoon.

Hot rum and cider (American cider, so apple juice with pulp). I toasted the cinnamon and clove before I added the juice.

I have successfully rendered myself unable to care about chronic pain and stress disorders for a bit. Feels good.
