ah...now the question depends upon whether he is willing to beat up small children
Beating up small children isn't something we usually do around here. It's easier to just pick them up and toss 'em out of an airlock.

Because hey, the Bastards are dying out, and we need new named heroes! :P

And, of course, the joke was too good to pass. On several levels. (Although I am sorry if my sense of humour is rather simplistic here.)

Personally I think that another insulting name would've been more appropriate. Like "The Assholes", "The Tossers" or "Damned Sons of Bitches", after all, on the UWM worlds where the Lurker in the Angles is wrecking havoc, the team's probably already referred to as such :P

Hey! We don't know about that all. We're happily ignorant heroes here, yet.

Man, Maurice really needs to work on his timing skills.

Hmmm? Uhhh, I'm honestly not sure what's wrong with the 'timing'. Apart from the "we're not safe yet" argument, of course.

Well, we also got our asses kicked, there isn't much to celebrate about that mission, we came in with no idea of what could be in there, were unable to get out, the most up-front powerful member of the team was taken out first, and the other veterans were with Maurice when he saw the alien god, then Steve had to suicide bomb the area with a cargo ship after we barely escaped, which didn't work and in fact made the situation worse.
Then we were caught after running in an amp powered ship which guaranteed the Lurker would at the very least mess up amps something fierce.

If any team gets named, it should probably be the recovery team if we/they manage to save your asses.  :P

I picked a really bad mission for a rookie, didn't I?

To be fair, every mission's a bad mission for a rookie, and PW has said they get harder as time goes on.

Sure, but (hypothetically speaking here) if the government was to give you free hand in it, then even if you can't get more bodies to ship, it might make it easier to nerve gas a couple cult strongholds or so if they really become a threat without having to worry the popo will come crack you down for it. Dunno, just spitballing, haven't read everything about the mission, mostly just glanced at pw's posts.

Give us help, and we'll more than likely stay, most of us are interested in over-achieving our goal, and helping Heph out would contribute to that. Current issue however is that Vincent is spooked (considering how fast and violently the situation turned sour, and how inadequately prepared the team is to deal with all out war), and depending on how the next few turns go, might start convincing the team to cut and run. If heph gives us the firepower we need, I think most team members would be fine with staying and taking control of the situation, even if Steve has no use for the planet.

Any shipment from Hep would take a long time to reach you though (which is why I find it weird that they're trying to seize your ships to import food, since by the time any ship, especially without manip help, has made the trip to and fro it'll have been quite some time, several years probably). Still, once Steve responds you could ask for help, we have quite some stuff available (could maybe even ship you a company/battalion/regiment robosods with weapons and nutrient packs if you needed them, and all the toys you could need).

Honestly I wouldn't count on that being a problem for anybody
But like I said, if we REALY wanted to break the universe we would toss in an artifact
If people try to make a pill from ingredients that could cause major problems when used, Nyars or Steve is supposed to stop them. As it says on the page, killing yourself (and maiming some bystanders) is ok, but no more Gratesplosions if we can help it.

I can't wait to get back to the ship. I want to confirm my theories.
When you do though, wait before you use that question coupon (if that's what you're referring to) because I'm starting to doubt if I still wanna sell it, what with all the recent happenings. Probably will, but just in case.

Hey, if Steve sends over enough sods, a hostile takeover could be in the books, any local police are probably spread thin enough.
