Yeah, creamy is better.

Actually in the finished thing, you're gonna have money. You can get money from winning fights and you can use it to get better gear and to train up skills and stats. So you could bet on the fights, and then use that money to make yourself better, effectively letting you level up while other people are fighting. Yay gambling.

Will there be permadeath?  That would create an interesting dynamic for surrendering versus keeping on, with the chance of turning it around versus the chance of death.

"Didn't you learn that doesn't work last time?"

Flip up over the car and land a few feet in front of Ivan.  Bring the cleaver down hard enough to chop through and crack the concrete in front of me, destabilizing him (3 ki).

I think I can get away without Ki on the jump since it's not precise (just jump over the damn thing) and I passed the first one handily.  Cue me catching the car with my face.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Systar attempts to leap the car, unaided by ki. He almost makes to. But the bouncing hunk of metal clips his foot as he jumps over it and sends him tumbling forward, straight towards the ground. He doesn't hit it though; Ivan catches him before he an break his teeth on the asphalt.

Unfortunately for Systar, Ivan catches him by the throat with one hand, and grabs the wrist of his weapon wielding arm with the other.  And then he starts to pull them in opposite directions.

"I told you. I must break you!"

Dooops.

Kick him square in the chest, propelling us apart!  5 ki, because it'd be nice to kick him off the edge while I'm at it.
