(Meh, Xeno-Biology sounds good.)
The commander walks through the sliding, automatic doors of the research lab, wishing it were a normal door so he could kick it open dramatically. Maybe he'll order something like that.
"We've got aliens for you to examine!" He called out, with a subordinate wheeling over a cart of three, wretchedly disfigured corpses.
"What the heck happened to them? They're torn to pieces already!"
"That 'Parade' guy in the infirmary says they took them all out with grenades, except for one, which dies from some sort of... psychic backlash? Don't know what he was talkin' about. We're saving that one so you can dissect it later." And with that he chucked a couple of odd, metallic fragments on the table. "That's what's left of its weapon, the rest were destroyed by overuse of the grenades."
"...That won't even be enough to study, this is serious-"
"Keep the change!" He said, walking out of the room.
March 5th
"Sir! We have reports of Alien Abductions across the globe! Volgograd, Russia; Alexandria, Egypt; and Shanghai, China are all calling for us to help!"
"Good! What are they offering for us to help?"
"Er, offering? Um, hold on..." The man at the line called the cities back, as the commander inspected his own fingernails. He needs to clip them more often.
"Russia is offering 4 of their best Scientists, China is offering 4 of their best Engineers, and Egypt is offering 200 dollars, cash."
"Hmm..." The commander mused, rubbing his clean-shaven chin.
