They wiped at Giovani's Khagaskhan, we were one more attack away from victory.

And all because someone managed to set the attack to whirlwind...

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

This is like reality TV for nerds. My whole college floor is getting into it. We all sat down and watched the recent Giovanni fight. At the end there were both tears and laughter. It was great.

Am I the only thats bothered impressed by how sufficiently this sums up human nature. You have religions, factions, organized governments vs anarchy etc.  It certainly is an interesting social experiment.

Also highlights the positive sides of nuclear armageddon.

Haha, sigged

Weighing in late on the anarchy/democracy thing, at least most of the trolls are occupied by spamming "anarchy" instead of causing any actual harm. There wasn't much we could learn from the trolls being trolls except "there's always gonna be that one douchebag in every endeavor" (summarized).

It's almost as if that wasn't the true purpose of it.

Every dwarf, every dwarven man, women, and child, that comes to our forts will die there; it's truly sad when you think about it. And we ask our selves, why? Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.
