Nah, even the elves love it. I mean, MULTI-TILE TREES. You can't tell me the elves don't want to play the version that has that.

Mass deforestation caused FPS death in the first year for me... Maybe the elves are on to something with this "harmony with nature" thing, at least it doesn't leave your stocks filled with thousands upon thousands of logs.

Just wanted to say that this story is wonderful, and I can't wait to see where it'll go from here.

I first found it years ago, though from where I have no idea. Googling 'Dwarf Fortress Party Hard' brings it up pretty easy, but even then all the pages it can be found on seem to be just reposts that got it from somewhere else. No idea what the source is, perhaps some chan thread that has long since 404'd.
