Alternatively--

If the fortress imports all the cheese (This is a PLAYER fortress, after all), ask what site they order the cheese FROM, then migrate THERE. (your dad is not here to stop you.)
Don't do that, since when have you ever heard of a dwarf leaving a player fortress?

Who imports cheese to a player fortress? Milk is so much cheaper, even if you don't need more barrels (and who doesn't need more barrels?)

When you have a sufficient supply of large pots?

If you dont want a cheesemaker around, but want the happiness bonus of having cheese around, then you import cheese.

I hoard massive amounts of cheese and mead for my dwarfs. I make the mead, and some cheese, but I buy cheese when I can. Nah just kidding, I hoard it all for my own amusement. I have a giant room filled with them both, and nobody to partake in them. All for me! Mwuahahahaha....

I always buy cheese, because they bring it anyway and because it's cheese.

I would have voted for the kea stealing the elf corpse buuutt keas don't steal corpses.

Why not? I've seen them steal anvils before. Not even the GIANT keas, just ordinary garden variety keas lifting an entire anvil and flying off with it to adorn their nest with. Or maybe to discover metal working so they can make weapons to kill us with.

The purple overseer hat weights heavily on one's head. Some would argue that the leadership of Doomforest is uneasy to bear for too long. Others would simply suggest that we don't craft the next overseer hat out of rutile.

Let's see here.

Reg is traumatized by killing.

Misty is traumatized by witnessing death.

Reg is in hostile territory, providing the majority of her party's battle-worth.

Misty is in a player-run Dwarf Fortress.

evictedSaint, you are a monster.

But our course is clear.  Misty: leave the body for just a moment to check out the corpse stockpile.  Your excuse: to see what respectful and hygienic arrangements the fort has made and figure out where you'll put Darkerdaffodil.  Our excuse: desensitization training.

Edit: Somehow I misspelled "Fortress."  Yeesh.
