Sift through the random junk night trolls tend to accumulate for the coins, a waterskin or backpack, and check out the holy symbol bag of course.

Start by looking for a helm to replace the one that got mangled.

Only take armor, food and maybe weapons of choice. True dwarves are communists and don't actually need money. But of course check the Divine Mystery Bag.

Money can be useful if you say, find a merchant on the way with some armor, also handy for getting the attention of distant enemies/distracting them/even killing them sometimes. Pew pew pew.

OK, first things first. Check the weapons for artifacts or masterwork. Also, +1 to the suggestion that she get a new helmet. Then go for the bag.

Holt, take the hammer. Hammers are the true dwarven weapon. Reg, take the helmet, check the weapons for rust. If they are rusted, don't take them. If any are of superior quality (and equal or greater material) or superior material, take them with you. Also, open the divine mystery bag, but look out for traps/scorpions/snakes/other stuff that's dangerous if it jumps at your face. In fact, use the tip of one of the old swords or the hilt of the weird copper spear thingy to open it.

If there's nothing dangerous or fragile in the bag, we can put the coins in it.

You're going to be spending the night here, so you might as well give the dead as dwarven a burial as you can manage in the absence of magma, then check the blue bag, take whatever weapons and armor will enhance your survival (more than they did for their original owners). If you can, check for marks & tokens might be useful for later identifying the night troll's victims and for mementos & keepsakes the heirs of the deceased might want, but don't load yourself down with stuff or compromise your primary mission.

I gotta say, after a couple months of slogging through long, delayed, not-so-suggestion-friendly updates, it's great to see all that green text popping up!  I definitely think shorter, less-intense updates are the way to go.  "Hero Mode" looks cool, but it's exhausting.

I have finals next week, ending Thursday (wish me luck!), and then updates will enjoy a more regular schedule.  Hopefully one of my job offers will come through and I will be a successfully employed engineer in a few weeks! So...fingers crossed, guys!!!

Kobolds find and adopt Reg & Holt into their tribe. :)

Great to see that you have more time now... good luck with the finals.
