Mr. Beard is my wife's dwarf of choice. In every fort I play, she makes sure there is always a Mr. Beard to protect the other dwarves, even though she always names 3-4 new dwarves per fort. When we dated, she would always ask before we ordered food or started a movie what Mr. Beard did today.

He was always a legendary-skilled Captain of the Guard with a lot of teaching skill to train other hopeful soldier dwarves, but when he eventually got too old or had a nerve injury or my wife decided it was time for him to settle down and have "little beards" he would be relegated to something prominent, like manager, broker, or (in one case) baron. My wife always thought of him as the nicest dwarf because he just wanted to keep all the other dwarves safe from mean goblins and the like and would save them no matter what.

The next page will feature a new dwarf.  Please feel free to post a self-insert or fan character along with their name and a brief description, and it might get picked!

Sanctume Spiritstone is my first dwarf character back in circa 1999 from playing A Dwarf Cleric of Brell (a deity) in Sony's EverQuest.
He has green eyes, and yellow hair.  At the end of his 6 years+ raiding career, he accumulated all sets of armors, and epic cleric quest weapon.
So normally he wielded a mace and plate armor set; and in the end the plate armor was colored purple for the clerics.  And the epic cleric quest was a flail.

Sanctume played as one the main cleric in the guild, Knights of Eternal Good (KEG).

Sanctume role plays as a Dwarf "pimp" (or playdorf) of Riverdale, a halfling village in another continent.  He always greets "Hello m'lady" to any h-babe (halfling babe, of halfling woman player).  He also pursued all crafting skills, and maxed leveled blacksmith first.

Near the end of his career, Sanctume convinced two h-babes to marry him in the same ceremony in the only PvP arena zone of the server; and server GM announced the ceremony, making it a server-wide event.

His two wives are the head of their own guild; and the wedding reception concluded with them slaying Sanctume in the PvP arena.  Fortunately for Sanctume, his cleric friends are guests to resurrect him.

Itdun Ngalákbelal, The Curious Triangle. A famous spear dwarf with peach skin and braided auburn hair who has slain a lot of things in her life, including a hydra, three Roc's, three Titans, a bronze colossus and two dragons. along with about four Giants, ten Minotaur's, three Ettins, and three Cyclops and a lot and I mean a lot of bandits. Currently, she is a outpost liaison, mostly because she wanted to do something else as murdering giant monsters got to easy for her apparently....

And yes, this is based off a adventurer I had in dwarf fortress, probably my best run of one too. I decided to retire them, partially because I wanted them to come move into my fortress, but instead they decided to become a liaison while I founded the fortress...

Urst McTotallyADwarf: A kobold sneak who got lost in the labyrinthine fortress years ago and has disguised itself as a dwarf to survive (there's probably a pathing error joke in there somewhere)

Whichever prior suggestion was most suitable, except with the name changed to the best of all names: Reg Cogul.

Because... come on, 'Hello, I am Glove Bootpants' is fantastic.

Uben Stakudstukon (Soapy Machinesquashed, "Ben" for short?)

Adequate Pump Operator, Dabbling Mechanic: Ben has spent his short time at ShieldDawn assigned to repeatedly operate one of the pumps that may be critical to keeping the entire fortress from flooding, or might be left around as an oversight by a prior overseer and nobody has noticed it yet. He dreams of setting up gears and machines and minecarts for every part of the fortress, from farming to forging to defense.
