Did anyone feel the thread update to 44.X? I bet it updated when you weren't looking. I wonder if the psychology update happened? If it did then, this could be a very interesting scene!

Overseer/manager Uben(heee, a contributor is me!) looks he's been annoyed plenty of times recently, like choking on smoke, irritated by sleeping uneasily due to noise, and dejected at generally being unable to take it easy. Really, there's probably a dozen more things like that coming to the manager's attention all the time.

Oh well, then that's not too bad, but look at the blood and vomit everywhere! The poor guy might also be disgusted at smelling miasma.

Still not too bad, right? But to me, poor Uben looks like he might be the sort of dwarf who doesn't handle stress well. Maybe he even cracks easily under pressure. I bet there's a decent chance he is always tense and jittery.

A fortress can be a hard place for a dwarf like that. A very hard place indeed.

And, oh no! Uben was just in a strange and confusing argument with Misty! I'm sure he dislikes talking to somebody annoying. And she said she did something without orders, so now he's angry at being in an argument!

Soooo, what to do, what to do?

Maybe Misty should wander excitedly and aimlessly a little bit, just enough to peek behind doors or look around corners.

Those side halls are probably littered with bits and pieces of corpses of sapient creatures, and poor, stress-prone Uben might just end up being horrified! (x34*)

Misty would just be following orders. After all, she WAS tasked to corpse hauling, right?

*Depending on the point release. Supposedly that's fixed. I haven't checked.

We are probably lucky that she was assigned with corpse-hauling before seeing corpses permanently traumatized dwarves.

I gotta say I love everything on the august update, Os'man's hats, the huge stacks of paper, his awful office, it's all very ≡exceptional≡. Noice work.

Shame the falling candle didn't light his papers though.

Sorry for bump I guess, not that old at least.

Is there a pressing reason to make a slab if one possesses a corpse?

Depending on the cause of death it might be prudent to leave the corpse where it is.
